12 noon - 5 P.M.

Mah Jongg Marathon

Join us for the second annual Mah Jongg Marathon to benefit the Museum of Jewish Heritage. The day begins at 12 noon and will include terrific raffle prizes and great fun.

For details e-mail mahjongg@mjhnyc.org

Throughout its history in the U.S., mah jongg has been at the center of women’s gatherings, often for philanthropic purposes. Taking a page from history, we are taking the day to play in the service of the Museum and to celebrate the role of Mah Jongg in the Jewish-American tradition.

While the day lasts from 12 noon to 5 p.m., you can play for as long or short a time as you like.

The registration fee is $36 . When you register, you will be asked to tell us your skill level (Beginner/Intermediate/Lifer) and we will match you with the right players. If you currently play with a group, we encourage you all to register and get sponsors.

Register now!

Working with FirstGiving, the Museum has created a template that you can use to set up online sponsors. Minimum donation is $18.You can personalize your page and then send the link to everyone you know via e-mail, or put a widget on your Facebook page. Even if you register by mail, you can still set up a personal fundraising page and receive donations online. You first need to be at the home page for the event http://www.firstgiving.com/mjh/mah-jongg-marathon-2012Click on the “Register” link. Then fill out the rest of the information accordingly and send your fundraising page to family and friends.

If you have sponsors who do not wish to donate online, you can get printable forms by e-mailing mahjongg@mjhnyc.org. You will bring all non-electronic sponsorship money with you when you arrive at the Museum on March 11.

Have additional questions? Please e-mail mahjongg@mjhnyc.org. And thanks for supporting the Museum of Jewish Heritage.
